Fresh from the bench: Westwind Brotherhood, Viridian, Space Marine and Teutonic knights and using battlesystems

While waiting for Morikun 1,000,000-views competition, I decided to slow down on PUBG and start painting.

I have done a good progress by my standard, by painting the whole Brotherhood gang I planned to use for EoD or Dracula's America.
Brotherhood Boss - Road Kill from Westwind, perfect for any period
EoD Brotherhood - Cool minis, not much needed to trim

The miniatures are very characterful and dynamic
They are all grey beards, because they have nothing to lose
Long time ago, while trying to revive my Space Crusade board, I bought a Space Marine apothecary. I have finally finished him off, and he is ready to join his friends.
I have decided to go for a more crude visual on the armor than the usual space marine
His job is to butcher gene seed, not to be the prettiest of all

The Viridian (here) had a girl pilot, likely because women can do multiple things at the same time. I didn't have the mood in the past to paint her, and she has been painted over the past 12 month.
Finally, here she is.

And here are the Teutons. Perfect for paladin, or any fantasy setting. Cutting the metal base was a pain, and after 1 test, I decided to keep them like this and paint the base darker, as if it is their shadow.

We worked also on structure with the kids, using their units of inquiries at school to make some fallout/necromunda board.
Orlosh settlement with a 1-floor, a 2-floor and a 3-floor building
The Claw Store. Vet store or pelt trader?

If it is fallout, here is the way to the Vault
Any settlement should get their table and chairs for chilling out.
Arm dealer, mandatory
A good weapon is a heavy weapon

We added a tower to help protecting the settlement.

March 2018 update

An update! Well, not much had been done lately.
I have spent too much time than expected business traveling and playing Player Unknown BattleGround (PUBG).

I am now feeling ready to take painting again, with miniature gaming.

One of the business travel brought me to Madrid, Spain, where I visited the hobby shop Atlantica.
Very good store with a lot of indy brands. A go-to shop in Madrid!

The loot:
Some prepainted dungeon items. The resin is heavier than usual and the pieces feel sturdier.
A bed and a box. I have tons of boxes, but not enough beds.
A fire place.
A coffin and a tombstone.
Paladins. I didn't have enough.
Trying to build  a team for Dracula's America. Of course, some templars/crazy monks is my way.
Give that monk a gun!
And some crossbow and a torch, just because.
February was also my birthday. My friends took a loan at the bank and got me the new Orlock to go with the 1st edition Orlock. There will be blood in the hive.

SOTR - What an army look like

The SOTR kickstarter has started.
Here

As far as it can help people to imagine what the game may look like in terms of army.

This are old photos of my armies, who have expanded lately.
But they give a fair insight of how much it represent. For information, a standard army will be about 55RP
My armies are mix of Westwind, Artizan, Grindhouse, Warlord, Tamiya, Urban Mammoth (mecha) and can't-remember-the-brand.

Few weird war games shots.

November: Painting front progress

I am putting a small update.
I am undergoing few mass painting projects:
- Ongoing. forty something German Elite forces (the one that can't be named in Germany) for Bolt Action
- Completed.Three US mecha for Secret of the Third Reich that I had in stock for a long time
- Completed. Weird World War 2 survivors. I have British survivors left but no real mood to finish them. Shelved for now.
- Ongoing. Battle for Alabaster beasties and zombies. I need few additonal strokes to complete them.

Jean-Jacques and Jacques. They were petty criminals during the zombie outbreak. Jacques was accountant for the Mafia and Jean-Jacques a thug. When Hell broke out, Jacques convinced Jean-Jacques to flee the city. Since then, they fight and survive, bit always trying to chose the winning side.

I start to work on my new campaign for 2015 that will replace The Reich of Thousand Deads, in apocalyptic settings.

April Workbench update

Few things have been painted, including (and missing from the update), 11 Necromunda minis with their options and 6 dogs for the incoming scenarios.

My mobile workbench.

Workbench:
Bottom Left: Rats and Ratmen (Mantic and Games Workshop), Ratmen are Bolt Action bodies with Bolt Action Body and a Westwind SMG (German SWD) with Rat heads (Netzumi from the L5R range)
Bottom right in purple: Children of the Apocalypse (Fallout like, can't remember the brand)
Middle (metal and unpainted): Weird World War 2 survivors (Artizan Design), a zombie officer and his radio controller (Westwind), and 3 warlord British Artillery Spotters
Extreme Right: Incursion (GrindHouse) US APE (Armoured Infantry, Weird World War 2) in progress (Some still in the bag)
Top Left: 32mm Revoluzion mini (if I recall correctly),
Top Middle: 2 Junker (Urban Mammoth) special weapons, 5 Bolt Action Russians sailors,
Top Right: 1 Mantic Space Rat Boss, a militia sniper (Urban Mammoth/ Grendel) and 1 Game Workshop Grey Knight

Russian Sailors are ready for vernish and basing if I stop being lazy
Lab rats are out and they are not happy
Starting WorldWorks building - Thoumont range. Not easy. I will do a special post
CSI badass for weird world war 2 (Artizan Design)
Finished some time ago, Brennus (Gladiator faction, Urban Mammoth)
Never turn your back on me!
Gladiator Scorpio (Urban Mammoth)
On the acquisition side, I got a box of Gurkhas (Bolt Action) and bought the Dad's Army box (Bolt Action) for additional characters in my campaign.
