RRtK : Meet the armies : Alweg / Mercenary

This serie of article is to complete the rules update with specific Nation armies.

The Alweg

The Alweg are not an actual army. When their territory is invaded, local lords will raise troops to defend it.

Alweg warrior

(Unit translated from the Bloodlust RPG book.)
Cavalry
This unit is composed of 10 cavalrymen with swords, shields and mail. The horses are not protected and therefore move fast. This units are of great valor but are not enough to fight Vorozion or Piorad heavy cavalry.

Infantry
This unit is composed of 20 experienced soldiers with swords, shields and mail. Aggressive and skilled they are the backbone of any Alweg army.

Archer
This unit is composed of 20 men skilled with bow. They have swords and leather armor if fight gets too close.

Levy (not from the RPG)
This unit is drawn from the peasants and are not experienced in battle. They were leather or no armor and fight with long spears.

The Mercenary

Hynaston scory warrior

Hynaston Infantry
This unit is composed of 20 men geared with swords, shields and reinforced leather. They are very aggressive and skilled, living by sword and looting.

Hynaston Cavalry
This unit is composed of 10 cavalrymen with long sword and reinforced leather. They have very fast unprotected horses. They are not enough to challenge Piorad or Vorozion heavy cavalry.

Hynaston Scories
This unit is composed of the ugliest and scariest Hynaston of orcish or trollish ascendance. Their skins are mostly green or ash grey and with long yellow teeth. They have swords and no armors. Most of them go berzerk during fight and have no mercy.


New Specialty: Mana
Roll for each distinct unit of mercenary hired “Hiring Magic User” (p44-45) and apply the result.
