RRtK : Season of Conquest - Summer 1031

Summer 1031.

Spring saw the clash of the two enemy Empire, Derigion and Vorozion. What the Vorozion saw as an easy victory against a decadent foe became the slaughter of their North Army, prompting a recall of the South Army to support and stop the Derigion.

The Batranoban won an easy victory against one of the many independent state in Central Tanaephis while the Sekeker are hurrying themselves to expand as the larger kingdoms were busy elsewhere.

Summer came....
Summer movements

Durville, Batranoban Empire...

"Peer, Peer... Silence."
The House leaders calmed down and each factions look at each other. The Neutral Contributor had problems to keep the session under control.
"The House of the Red Spice may speak now"
A large man raised. His fine barb highlighted his large mouth and large nose. Almost bold, he kept a layer of hair to grow on each side of the head.
"After the great victory in the East, I suggest we cut on the expense of such a large army and take full control of the trade."
"Nonsense","Betrayal","You've got your share, where is mine" shouted some of the other leaders.
"Peer, Peer... Silence"
The House leaders calmed down again...
"I propose a vote, now that the Peace and the War factions have talked. The War faction proposed to continue the campaign until we consolidate our eastern borders. The Peace faction wants to resume trade and commercial war against the Derigion and disband the army to lower our costs. For war, raise your hand"
A slight majority of the House leaders raised their hands.
"For Peace, raise your hands."
Some House leaders raised their hands, while a group of leaders voted neither.
"The Batranoban Empire has decided to continue the war"
The leader of the House of the Red Spice left immediately, joined by other Peace faction members.
"We won't let that war dry our coffers. This should stop so our trades may resume."

Jenny looked at the old woman with surprise.
"Mother. They will hunt us, strong or weak. They are all busy with their little wars. We shall take and grow now or it will be too late."

"Messenger. You bring bad news before us. How can the large army of Marshall Colwyn be defeated by the decadent Derigion!"
"They have raised a powerful army, unseen for ages. They have a large number of phalange and Gygax is fighting alongside"
"We can't be too careful" shouted a voice in the assembly.
"Raise more troop, defeat them."
"Bring the army of the South, retreat and fight another day with strength"
"No Vors should be under Derigion control anymore"
The Emperor of the Vors listened to the advices of the nobles. After an hour, the assembly was adjourned. The day after, they gathered and waited for the Emperor to give his decision.
"We will not surrender, negotiate, stop. This is a minor delay that we shall not be worry about. Colwyn should prove himself. Raise local troop in Essan, and fight a delay action against the Derigion. Frank is arriving by the South and will likely destroy what would be left of the Derigion, would they be lucky enough to win against Colwyn. The Vors have spoken."
