October painting summary: Painting

For my son's birthday, we went to a laser tag venue, and we did a small trophy to sit on top of the birthday cake (a cup cake pyramid to be precise)

And Man o'war. These ships have been waiting for decent paint for a very long time. Finally, I gave them the attention they deserved. The dwarf proxy ships are now done.

Bolt Action: The not-so-secret-plans battle report

2 weeks ago, we had a 3vs2 Bolt Action, Allies vs Axis. 1800 pts per side.
There were US+Brit+Partisans against German+Italian.

Here was the brief to the Partisan Force.
"The mission, Jean-Jacques, is simple. Jean-Pierre and Jean-Michel have successfully ambushed a small convoy of officers. Our road side bombs have done a good job. Jean-Francois and Jean-Paul are coming with the cowboys and the roast-beef. Hold you position and good luck."

Mission: Secret plan. No deployment, all units in reserves, but spotters and snipers.

In the middle of the village, the half track holds the suit case. A German sniper team is keeping the Allies in check above the halftrack.

The American and British players

The Axis force quickly entered the battlefield

(Turn 3) the Partisan trucks full of pistol squads finally entered the area

Emerging from the truck, the partisans deployed

"Nom d'une pipe, ca va barder!"

The famous Italian armors, a Joke to most nations, a deadly threat to partisans with all their MMGs

Jean-Jacques and Jean-Charles are still alive after 80+ shots to them

Still, the Axis got there faster and were running with the secret plans (pinned unit, middle of the photo). The Partisans were running behind them, Benny Hill style

The Allies just need to kill them to stop them from running away

Star Wars Campaign: T3, Sector 5

The Imperial mission was easy: Verifying the rebel presence in the system station and wipe them out.
The Rebels had 2 options: flee or try to destroy the Corellian Corvette.

Special rule: The Rebel squadron will scramble randomly from any of the space stations.

2 stations with Rebel activity have been reported

3 Tie Advanced squadrons were sent to investigate each station

3 squadrons are launched from Station Alpha and 1 from Station Beta. Tie Interceptors are launched to intercept

2 squadrons of B-Wings are properly wiped out.

 The Rebel suicide action was going bad. The Imperial fighters were capable pilots and destroyed the main bombers. The last chance for the Rebel to justify their loses were to get the corvette before any imperial reaction.

Unfortunately for the Rebels, both side activated and the imperial wiped out the last Rebels

The Imperial firmly hold the space

 Sector victory for the imperial. They advance on sector 5. There is little room available for the Rebels on that Sector.

May painting summary - small production - Morikun Challenge started

It has been a good month for gaming: Incursion, X-Wing, Cluedo (with my boy)
but a small month for painting.

Should I say that Rain and The Expanse onNetflix, and Fallout New Vegas have taken their toll too.
Talking about plots, The Expanse is a good show with an interesting plot (up to Episode 8, let's see how they close the season)
The Rain is ok. Watching it in Danish with Subtitle is better. I find that they completely missed the end of the season with an illogical cliffhanger. Sad.

Hobbywise, I have worked on 3 projects:
- Small terrain to be added on my fantasy set, to add in flavor.

They are supposed to be shield. They are unfortunately too big for my miniatures. I will recycle them as  broken ornaments

- Tiles that were still not painted

I plan to make them diry like the white tiles above. The joy of having too much stuff from a kickstarter.

I have used the black ink to highlight the details. They will be ready to paint, once I get inspired on the color scheme.
