Space stations : Building station with Dropfleet Commander Modular Space Station

Space opera mood.

I have received my kickstarter and bought a  Dropfleet Commander Modular Space Station. They may be good addition to my Star Wars universe by bringing some extended architecture.

I spent about 3 hours last night playing with the kits, building,  Deep Space Manufacturing Facilities
Golan Battle Platforms, Space Colonies and Research Facilities.

And I know, I still need to finish writing the last Darker Omen episode.

Here are some stations under construction.

It is a good kit, with a lot of different variation possible. The stands are great and stable. I really think there are good value.
Below are the stations done in few hours, with enough material for at least 2 to 3 more stations.

Playing Lost Patrol

Last week-end, we visited the recently opened Games Workshop stores in HK.
To my surprise my son got excited in playing with the Shadow War Armageddon. We ended up leaving with Lost Patrol and we played it once back home.

The good part:
The game is easy and my son was able to get the rules within minutes.

The bad part:
You need to build the miniatures and they are not easy. There are so many boardgame "ready to play" with miniature in the market, GW should look into it for their entry game. At least MB had a good idea when they sold Space Crusade back in the 90's. We had to take available miniature to play.

My son played the space marines and won, with 2 soldiers at the end.
Here are some of the game pix.

Partisans - latest additions

Some of the June's production, that were played during the Bolt Action scenario.

2 tough kids which I did not play last game. However, good characters for any game of the Reich of the Thousand Deads.
An office worker, a gangster and somebody that seems to be a constable.
A young gangster, a crazy man that believes that 2 pistols are better than one, and a concerned citizen that takes this matter in his own hands
2 gangsters and 1 man with his shotgun.
a banker, a gangster and 1940's John Wick
Girls that should not be bothered. A woman that saw the seven seas, a woman that hunted big game in Africa and a woman that flew all over the world.
Another group of woman that will not be harassed. One woman ready for the Summer sale, and one that will protect her farm in Western Africa.
a mysterious man, ready for any rainy night, and 2 men off their cargo ship ready to protect themselves in the wilderness of the red district.
a detective, a woman that will defend her boat and a man that learned to shoot during his time in the colonies.
A man and his monkey, a sailor and an artizan design (for scale)
