End of 2017 update: W40k and Fallout

Hello,
Santa fighting Nazis
Normal Santa
Not dead.
I did a lot of painting recently and spent too much time playing video game (easier, faster, ...). I also changed my dining table, which impacted the games.
Nevertheless, I recently got a Mahjong table, ideal to set a quick game.

Here are the November and December painting. Space Marines, Santa Claus, Warmaster (MB/GW), cant-remember, starship troopers Skinnies.

Rebasing all my space marines in clear base, repainting old marines.

All the space marines, in a nutshell

A rogue trader
Some grey hunters
They have old helmets, because w40k!
Command team
Warmaster Chaos and Empire bowmen
Fallout small guys. Can't-remember-the-brand-but-too-much-complicated-to-glue miniatures and skinny faction from Starship Troopers

A big priest and a Thief
Regular imperial guards and some gangers (Necromunda) reinforcement

October update - Some painting has been done

Lots of travel, lack of mojo, not much painting going on.
And then, finally, it came back.

I have finished 2 sets of pulp figures for my Weird War and Bolt Action games, either as fighters or as objectives.

First, the movie crew, Pulp Figures by Bob Murch. Very characterful models. Ref. PHP01
Merrik Von Stroheim, director

Billy Boyle, clapper

Max Parker, cameraman
Miss Spingler, script

The crew is working with 2 stars on the next great movie: The Not-Inglorious b'stards.
Next, 2 miniatures, Lt Hail and Batman. Ref GiM014
Lt Hail, likes killing zombies and nazis.

Batman, great swinger

w40k 8th Edition

Late August, we tried the 8th version of Warhammer 40k at home. Small table, small forces, big fun.
I took out of their box my inquisitorial army and fielded them against a bunch of Space Marines who pretended to be better.
Who won?

Inquisition is gathering, they are protecting the Mighty Coffee Maker

This Dark Angel are weird, they look very whity

My left side. Nice to field the Battle Systems terrain
The right side. The Police station, and some crates

Thereafter, I forgot to take pictures. Only some deployment and the last action.

I always loved the Junker (Urban Mammoth) and they look cooler surrounded by Battle Systems terrain

The Adeptus Mechanicus is covering Coteaz

The Crusaders are the MVPs.
Feedback:
The terrain was small, which favored Closed Combat.
The Dark Angel had little firepower
8th is fun and very easy to play. Finally, back to basic.

Darker Omen: Part 4. Leader's gathering (AAR)

Special rules played:
- Blue Chief had to convince the guard at the entrance to let him in.
- Blue Chief and Red Baron would need to convince each other:
- REP test each turn, the first to reach 10 successes win. If the Red Baron wins the argument, there is a chance for Red Baron and Blue Chief to fight each other.
- Each turn, any room with Blue Chief and Red Baron guards will have to test for tension. At 3 points of tension, they would fight each other.

What was not planned was the Black Shields coming in. They changed the expected pace of the game.
